INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE ARTISTIC ENVIRONMENT OF KIROVOHRAD REGION: GENESIS, INTERACTION, AND DEVELOPMENT VECTORS

The relevance of the topic stems from the need for an art historical conceptualization of the nature of artistic traditions in the Kirovohrad region and the determination of the role of institutions in the formation and development of the local school. Purpose of the study is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the institutional structure of the Kirovohrad region’s artistic environment, identify its development vectors, examine the nature of interaction between key institutions, and evaluate their impact on the formation of the regional artistic space. The paper substantiates that the contemporary artistic genesis of Central Ukraine is based on a multi-level interaction of institutions that ensure a continuous cycle of an artist’s professional development. Research methods. The study is grounded in a comprehensive analysis of the activities of artistic and educational institutions of the region. The historical and pedagogical aspects of the development of art education are examined, tracing its origins to the late 19th century. A systemic approach made it possible to outline a closed cycle of professional training («school – university – artistic and pedagogical activity») and to structure the interaction between educational institutions, museums, and professional associations as an integrated system. The source base was processed through the analysis of archival materials, annual museum reports, exhibition catalogues, and art historical publications. To verify the effectiveness of this model and assess the risks of institutional isolation, a biographical method was applied, involving the study of educational trajectories and creative achievements of successful graduates of the regional school. Results. The article examines the academic and practical activities of the Department of Arts at the Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University, particularly through its initiatives and plein air practices that facilitate students’ integration into the professional environment. The influence of museum institutions (the Museum of Arts, the O. O. Osmerkin Memorial Museum, and the Art Department of the D. Chyzhevskyi Regional Universal Scientific Library) is characterized as platforms for the public legitimization of artistic output and the promotion of cultural heritage. It is demonstrated that the risk of creative stagnation is mitigated by the active external mobility of graduates at the master’s level, which ensures a continuous inflow of innovative ideas into the regional context. The creative achievements of representatives of the Kropyvnytskyi school (A. Kimnatnyi, K. Husieva, O. Kaliuzhna) confirm the effectiveness of the existing system and its capacity to train competitive professionals within the contemporary art studies discourse. Conclusions. The study demonstrates that the sustainability of the regional artistic field depends on the synergy of the educational base, museum activities, and the support of professional associations. It is determined that institutional openness and the integration of young artists into the national cultural space are key factors in preserving and actualizing regional artistic identity in the context of co ntemporary challenges.
