FORMATION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND PLANNING ORGANIZATION OF SCHOOL BOARDING HOUSES ON THE BASE OF ANALYSIS OF GLOBAL EXPERIENCE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to determine the main factors of the formation of the architectural and planning organization of school boarding houses based on the analysis of world experience. Methods. During the study of the experience of the architectural and planning organization of school boarding houses abroad, the systematic method was applied, as well as the analysis, synthesis and generalization of available bibliographic sources. Results. In 2022, the concept of "boarding school" was excluded from DBN B.2.2-3:2018 "Buildings and structures. Educational institutions" in accordance with Amendment No. 1, and replaced by the term "boarding house (dormitory)". But there is still no regulatory framework for the design of this type of building. Therefore, the world experience in designing a complex of a school with a boarding house and separate boarding houses was analyzed, in order to create further recommendations regarding the design of a school boarding house. Conclusions. The article presents the results of the analysis of foreign experience in the design of school boarding houses. During the theoretical research, the factors which influence the formation of the architectural and planning organization of school boarding houses were analyzed and summarized. The results of the article can become the basis for the further development of a classification of a school complex with a boarding house and a typology of a school boarding house.
