Peer-review process
There is a system of a double “blind” peer-review in the journal.
Manuscripts should meet the specific requirements prescribed by the editorial office of the journal. Editors are entitled to send a manuscript back for improving or to reject due to considerable non-compliance with the editorial policy, journal ethical standards, requirements for manuscripts. Authors receive a notice of receipt, return, or rejection of manuscripts via e-mail.
If there are comments at the stage of initial control, the article can be returned to the author for revision.
In compliance with all requirements, the manuscript of the article is submitted to the editor for further work.
The editor provides the article with a registration code and removes information about the author (s) from it.
The coded article is sent by e-mail to: a) a member of the editorial board, responsible for the scientific direction on the topic of the article (internal reviewer); b) an external reviewer.
Local and foreign Doctor of Sciences (PhD), scientists who have scientific works on the issues stated in the article are involved in the external review. A letter with a request for review and a standard form of review is sent to such a researcher from the Vice-Rector for Research of the Academy. After obtaining consent, the article is sent to the reviewer (without information about the author).
The external reviewer is usually randomly selected, considering the current workload and with his consent.
The member of the editorial board (internal reviewer) and the external reviewer, who received the coded article, fill in a standard form and choose one of the options for recommendation: recommended for publication; recommended for completion; not recommended for publication.
In case of refusal or need for revision, the reviewer / member of the editorial board must provide a written reasoned explanation of the reasons for such a decision.
Recommendations of reviewers are sent by e-mail to the editorial office.
The final decision on the article is made at a meeting of the editorial board, consisting of: editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief, executive secretary. The decision is made considering the received reviews.
Further work with the article accepted for publication is carried out by the editorial staff in accordance with the technological process.
The decision of the editors is sent to the author (s). Articles that require revision are sent to the author (s) together with the text of the review, which contains specific recommendations for revision of the article. The anonymity of reviewers is guaranteed by the editors.
The revised version of the article is sent for re-review. In case of repeated negative review result, the article is rejected and is not subject to further consideration.
The editorial board does not enter into discussions with the authors of the rejected articles.
Reviews and recommendations for each article are stored in the editorial office in electronic form for two years from the date of publication of the issue in which the peer-reviewed article is placed.
All articles are checked for the degree of uniqueness of the author's text using the program StrikePlagiarism.com.
