EVOLUTION OF THE NATIONAL TERMINOLOGICAL SYSTEM IN MANUALS ON PLASTIC ANATOMY OF THE 20TH–21ST CENTURIES: ANALYZING CURRENT ISSUES IN ART EDUCATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

Abstract. The article is dedicated to analyzing the formation of the Ukrainian terminological system in the scientific nomenclature of plastic anatomy, particularly in the context of art education in the 20th–21st centuries. The aim of the study is to examine the main stages in the development of terminology in plastic anatomy, analyze the influence of political, sociocultural, and educational factors on its formation, and identify current challenges and prospects for contemporary art education in Ukraine. The research methodology is based on historical-cultural, linguistic, and comparative approaches, which enable the exploration of terminological transformations through the analysis of sources such as scientific works, teaching manuals, and more. The study identifies key stages in the development of the terminological system, focusing on the role of plastic anatomy manuals in Ukrainian art education within the framework of higher art education. Particular attention is given to the analysis of terminological innovations and the integration of folk and archaic terms that accompanied the evolution of this field in Ukraine. The findings underscore the importance of improving terminology in plastic anatomy to ensure high-quality art education. Specifically, the study highlights the necessity of creating an art dictionary of terms that harmonizes existing terminology with scientific nomenclature while meeting modern educational standards. The article also emphasizes the importance of further collaboration between artists and medical scientists to develop a clear, effective, and linguistically appropriate Ukrainian scientific terminology in the field of plastic anatomy.
