FEATURES OF FUNCTIONAL SPATIAL FORMATION OF CITY ART CENTERS

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to determine the peculiarities of the functional and spatial formation of urban art centres based on the analysis of scientific sources and publications, systematisation of foreign and domestic construction experience and analysis of the experience of operating this type of facility. The research methods include the study of systematisation and generalisation of the principles of functional and spatial organisation of art centres. The study is based on a comprehensive approach, which includes socio-economic, typological and spatial analysis. The results of the study show that the peculiarities of urban art centres are their multifunctionality, which allows to attract more visitors due to cultural and everyday diversity. Urban contemporary art centres are designed to perform several key functions: exhibition, educational, communication and leisure. By combining these functions, such spaces become important cultural hubs that actively engage audiences and form new approaches to interacting with art and the urban environment. Conclusions. A modern urban art center is not only an exhibition space, but also a multifunctional complex that combines various types of artistic activities, integrating innovative technologies and creating an environment for active interaction with the audience. The main features of its spatial design are flexibility and adaptability, interactivity, and inclusiveness. The study emphasizes the importance of further analysis of the architectural solutions of such centers and their role i n the development of urban art space.
