THE PROPERTIES OF THE RHYTM IN THE COMPOSITION STRUCTURE OF THE ARTWORK

Abstract. In this work is considered one of the main means of organizing elements of a composition into a single system, which is a rhythm. The article is devoted to the rhythm as an important composite aspect in the image-making, analysis of the main laws and rules of the rhythmic construction of the composition, which is fundamentally important in the context of the innovative changes in the curriculum for the academic drawing. The article centers certain features of rhythm manifestation in different areas of the image field, highlights the role of the rhythmic component in the general composition structure of the picture area. The author also touches the properties of the rhythm as one of the leading composite components, which reveals the internal regularities of the artist's idea. The examples of selected works of European art of the XVI–XIX show the function of the rhythm inside the picture area in the context of interaction of composition elements and visual perception of the work. The article also analyzes the interrelationships of the graphical motion image with the properties of the areas of the picture field, reveals the influence of the rhythmic factor on the dynamics and content aspect of the composition as a whole. The issues of the article are relevant in the context of improving programs for teaching academic drawing and raising the general level of theoretical and artistic training of students.
